Vayden

Vayden is an American hard rock band formed in Phoenix, Arizona in 2005 and currently residing in Los Angeles, California. Vayden is currently recording their second full-length album, which is slated for release late 2010.
History
Formation
Vayden is a 4-piece melodic hard rock band originally from Phoenix, Arizona. They formed in 2002 by vocalist Curtis Casey and drummer Bruce Weitz, renaming the band after Weitz's deceased son, Vayden Zoé Weitz, in 2005. The current lineup includes Armin Peterson on guitar and Matt McMoots on bass guitar.
Children of Our Mistakes
Vayden's first full-length release, Children of Our Mistakes, was originally released independently in 2006, and then re-released in 2008 by Silent Majority Group. Their first single, 'Anthem of the Used', spent 16 weeks in rotation on KUPD, WIIL, WXQR, KQXR, WYBB, WZBH, and several others. Their second single, 'The One You Left Behind', enjoyed similar success with 13 national adds, and is currently in rotation on Radio.
Shows
Vayden has shared the stage with label-mates Candlebox, Tantric, and Framing Hanley, along with other artists including Drowning Pool, Authority Zero, Pepper, Matchbox 20, Three Days Grace, 30 Seconds to Mars, Alien Ant Farm and Slightly Stoopid. Vayden has also participated in radio festivals such as 98KUPD’s 'Ufest', as well as international festivals such as the Dithmarscher Rockfestival in Marne, Germany. Vayden is currently the resident band at the world famous Whisky A Go Go in Los Angeles, and opened for Slash at his Autobiography book signing at the Whisky in 2007.
