Van Duzer Street

Van Duzer Street is a secondary north-south artery along the North-East Shore of the New York City borough of Staten Island. It is approximately long, and runs through the neighborhoods of Tompkinsville, Stapleton, Grymes Hill, and Clifton.
The roadway is a oneway in its entirety (except for its 'extension' to Bay Street). Traffic is oneway northbound between Targee Street and Victory Boulevard () and oneway southbound between Targee Street and Richmond Road/Vanderbilt Avenue ().
Van Duzer Street is mostly residential in nature. The blocks closest to Wright Street and Beach Street form a small commercial district consisting of bars, restaurants, and other locally-owned businesses. The Downtown Staten Island Council and the New York City Department of Transportation sponsor what they call a "Summer Street" on Saturdays in August where the roadway is converted over to a car-free pedestrian zone.
Van Duzer Street is served by the S74 and S78 local buses.
