Valsion

The Valsion is a fictional robot in the Super Robot Wars series. It has appeared as an enemy unit in Super Robot Wars 2, Super Robot Wars F Final and the Super Robot Taisen: Original Generation series, but was available as a hidden, playable unit in the Original Generation games.

Appearance

At first glance, the Valsion appears to be designed by extraterrestrials, considering its menacing, alien-like appearance. However, because this machine was built with materials of non-human origins, the Valsion was perhaps morphed into such a shape by its manufacturers. The original unit has a red color scheme, highlighted with yellow on small parts of its armor. A mass-produced version of the Valsion is splashed in blue instead, while a customized Valsion appears more humanoid in appearance, with its color presented in biege. While the original and mass-produced Valsion always carry a large sword with it, the customized type does not wield one.

Technical And Historical

The Super Machinery Humanoid DCSMH-01 Valsion is the personal mobile unit of Divine Crusaders leader, Dr. Bian Zoldark, and is the faction's ultimate weapon (excluding the Granzon), even being given the nickname of "Ultimate Robo" by its followers. Built heavily on the , the original Valsion always carries the Divine Arm melee weapon, and its internally equipped with a Tesla Drive, for flight capabilities, and a Gravicon System, for defensive and offensive abilities. The Valsion can be considered the male counterpart to the second Super Machinery Humanoid model, Valsione, the personal machine of Bian's daughter Lune Zoldark.

Although Bian was defeated at Aidoneus Island, Adler Koch developed three Mass Production model units for the remaining Divine Crusaders, known as the DCSMH-01C Valsion Custom. The unit is similar to the original model, albeit the inclusion of Adler's GEIM System, which enhances its pilot's senses and heightens their combat abilities, allowing greater data processing, but at the cost of the system taking over control of the pilot's mind. Being Mass Production models, they also lack the Mega Graviton Wave to cut the cost. Tenzan Nakajima, Tempest Hawker and Princess Shine Hausen were the ones who would pilot the Valsion Custom. However, two would be destroyed when Adler made his failed attempt to attack the Earth Federation Army headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland, and one was captured for use in the war against the Aerogaters.

In the extra scenarios of Original Generation 2 of Super Robot Wars Original Generations, Isurugi Industries began development of the new Space Combat Use Valsion Custom, the DCSMH-01MCF Valsion Custom Type-CF, which the Earth Federation Army was unaware of. What the CF stands for is unknown. Divine Crusader Remnants, led by Lorenzo Di Montegnacco, successfully hijacked the unit at an Isurugi Industries' factory, and brought it to Wilhelm V. Jürgen at the Hellgate facility, during the bonus segments of the same game. However, the only Valsion Custom Type-CF known would be destroyed by the appearance of Duminuss, after Jürgen had failed to complete his task. After slaying Jürgen, Duminuss utilized the same Valsion and put Lamia Loveless inside it under her control. However, it was destroyed by Axel Almer, who also proceeded to rescue Lamia.

*Mega Graviton Wave The Most powerful attack on the Valsion. The Valsion ascends into the air and begins charging itself with massive amounts of energy. The effect is so great that enemy units are lifted into the sky. Brimming at max, the Valsion releases the stored energy in a catastrophic explosion, incinerating anything within its range, in Original Generation it's simply a smaller scale version of the Cybuster's Cosmo Nova attack.

Weapon Systems:

*Cross Smasher It fires a pair of different coloured beams that spiral around each other into an enemy with a drilling effect. This version of the Cross Smasher is significantly similar to the way the Valsione attacks with its own Cross Smasher.

*Mega Graviton Wave The most powerful attack of the Valsion CF. The Valsion Custom Type-CF ascends into the air and begins charging itself with massive amounts of energy. The effect is so great that enemy units are lifted into the sky. Brimming at max, the Valsion releases the stored energy in a catastrophic explosion, incinerating anything within its range.
