UShareSoft

UShareSoft is a technology company based in Grenoble (France) that provides an on-line platform and a framework for independant developers, software vendors, systems admininstrators and systems integrators to create, deploy and maintain software appliances across physical, virtual and cloud environments.
History
UShareSoft was founded in 2008 by ex-SUN Microsystems and HP employees. The company is awarded from the French Public Institution for its innovation. Since UForge Appliance Factory became publicly available in 2009.
UForge Appliance Factory
UForge Appliance Factory is an online SaaS platform that allows to create, re-use, clone and maintain complete stack images based on open source softwares. The images are delivered in the following formats:
* ISO (CD, DVD)
* VMware and VMware ESXi
* KVM
* Xen
* Amazon AMI
The platform supports all major open source operating systems including CentOS, [http://en. .org/wiki/Fedora_(Linux) Fedora], [http://en. .org/wiki/Ubuntu_(operating_system) Ubuntu], Debian and [http://en. .org/wiki/Solaris_(operating_system) Solaris] for both 32-bit and 64-bit architecture. A catalogue of over 60 open source projects is available containing the most popular open source content management systems, middleware and databases.
UShareSoft has deals with the consortium to support open source projects and VMware to make sure that images are properly virtualized.
Open Appliance Studio
Open Appliance Studio is a framework that configures automatically self-contained and multi-node applications across virtual and cloud environments.
