USBCrypt is a commercial disk encryption program for Microsoft Windows developed by WinAbility Software Corp. USBCrypt works by creating a file-based virtual encrypted disk on the host drive, and performing OTFE and decryption of data. Features *USBCrypt uses AES, Twofish, as well as a combination cipher. *USBCrypt can create NTFS-formatted virtual encrypted disks on the FAT host drives and vice versa. The size of the encrypted area can be larger than the 4GB limit of the FAT file system. *The encrypted drives can be used with other Windows computers, without USBCrypt software installed on them. *USBCrypt offers an option of creating a spare key file, to be used when the main password has been lost or forgotten. |
