History United States Adjusters is a privately held corporation formed in 2006 by a regional U.S. based public adjusting firm. A public adjuster evaluates, documents and negotiates property damage claims on behalf of policyholders (public adjusters are licensed to work directly for policyholders, as distinguished from company and independent adjusters, who work for insurance companies). United States Adjusters has a large team of professionals who investigate, evaluate, and document insured property damage losses to buildings, machinery, equipment and inventories. This includes in-house accountants specializing in business interruption and extra expense claim preparation.
