UFC 140 is an upcoming mixed martial arts event to be held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship. While not officially announced by the organization, it is expected to take place on December 10, 2011 at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. However, UFC Canada President, Tom Wright, has said that this event is far from signed and may be held in another Canadian city in December 2011. Background UFC Welterweight Champion Georges St. Pierre was briefly rumored to face Strikeforce Welterweight Champion Nick Diaz at this event, but UFC President Dana White announced that this fight was not happening. It is now taking place at UFC 137. |
