Tungekar

Tungekar is a prominent Muslim Kokani family of Uran, Maharashtra, India which achieved its great wealth from salt mining.

In the early 1900s, the Times of India dubbed the family, "King of Salts." Notable among them for his charitable works is Mohammed Ibrahim Mohammed Jaffer Tungekar in the early 20th century.

The history of Tungekars dates back to the 18th century and are spread all over the world.There are many prominent features of tungekar family.
