Trojan horse gallery was an artistic experiment with computer viruses created in 2008 by Slovak media artist . It's primary purpose was to promote works of young artists and bring their artwork closer to people's lives. Thg.exe spread in a form of trojan horse virus, but it was rather a small utility which changed desktop background every time a computer was restarted. Trojanhorsegallery was spread worldwide, affecting over 60 000 computers in 69 countries. To stay harmless, thg.exe was removed from infected computers automatically by the 14th of December 2008. The virus was presented on several new media oriented festivals and exhibitions, and is a part of IDM.NET.DATA - Slovak digital media archive.
