Trilby Multimedia is an established multimedia and Internet publishing company based in Birmingham, UK. Set up in 1993 by Tony Stanley the company has a mission to use technology to improve social and community development. The company has created many tools and processes used by Local Authorities, Schools, Voluntary establishments, Community groups and private enterprise. Trilby were one of the first companies to start using shockwave streaming audio as part of a web project called Blues 'n Rebellion. They also piloted a community networking project called BeComm (Birmingham Electronic Community) an early version of social networking, but before the web spread to everyones desktop.
