TotalCon

TotalCon is a gaming convention held in Mansfield, Massachusetts.
History
TotalCon began as a small unnamed convention in 1987 at a hotel called "the Yankee Drummer" in Auburn, MA by Wes Carpentier.
In 1988, the newly named TotalCon held a larger convention at Clark University in Worcester, MA. Two years later it moved to The Sheraton Hotel in Worcester, MA. The convention continued to grow and moved to the Royal Plaza in Marlboro, MA. In 1997 the convention continuing to grow, moved to the Ramada Rolling Green in Andover, MA. It was there until 2002, the hotel was demolished that summer.
Since 2003, Total Confusion has been held at the Holiday Inn in Mansfield, MA.
Sir Master Humphrey Yates is a plush stuff animal (puppy) and the convention mascot. Humphrey is often the target of convention attendees for kidnapping and ransom.
Events and focus
TotalCon is one of the four regional semi final hosts for Iron GM tournament. Its focus is on boardgaming (American and German), Card gaming (CCGs and Standard), miniature gaming, table top RPG, and LARP

TotalCon has hosted a number of guests from the gaming industry including; Gary Astleford, Peter Bryant, James Carpio, Mark Edwards, Ben Gerber, Tim Kask, Andre Kruppa, Jay Libby, Frank Mentzer, Eric Summerer, Tom Vasel, and Brad Younie
