Toonami: The Intruder

Toonami: The Intruder was an eight episode mini-series that aired during Toonami from September 18, 2000 up until September 27, 2000. The series revolved around the block's host TOM battling the Intruder which is a dark red blob like creature.

1. Enemy Within - TOM and SARA, his new assistant, are having a nice conversation on the bridge of the absolution until she warns TOM of an unexpected visitor (The Intruder) who has boarded the ship and burrowed down into its starboard engine. TOM goes to check the damages done to the ship and he decides to go down investigate this himself. First Aired: September 18, 2000
2. Hunter or Hunted - TOM travels deeper into the depths of the absolution to find the Intruder. When he reaches the 49th floor he is taken off guard and rammed into by The Intruder, knocking him out of the ship and into space which causes his nuclear reactor to temporarily go offline. First Aired: September 19, 2000
3. Haste Makes Waste - TOM's still in space and his body floats and bumps into a tiny asteroid which makes his nuclear reactor go back online. A skyline drags him into the absolution. He asks SARA where the Intruder is located and investigates again. First Aired: September 20, 2000
4. The End of the Beginning - This may be TOM's last stand as host for Toonami and he fights back to the Intruder. He tries to eliminate it but eventually eliminates was forced to retreat. However, his reactor just went offline again and he got glued to the Intruder who proceeds to devour him. The Intruder then destroys an engine causing the ship to not operate right. 5. Appetite for Destruction - TOM's gone, the absolution needs a new host. Well, he's still TOM but in a teenager body dubbed TOM 2 or TOM 2.0. SARA builds TOM's new body and tells him to blow up the left side engine with a bomb. First Aired: September 22, 2000
6. Stranded - After TOM2 destroys the engine in order to kill the intruder, He spoke to his members of the absolution to get a new engine. First Aired: September 25, 2000
7. View of the Ship - The Absolution arrives at the Star Power station, and TOM negotiates for the repairs. First Aired: September 26, 2000
8. Your Chosen Engine - TOM gives the viewer another view of the ship with the its new engine, The Talon ST. At the end of this episode, a screenshot of space is shown with the Intruder floating off the screen followed by "The End?". First Aired: September 27, 2000
Escape Velocity
At the end of each episode the viewers were given a code to unlock an arcade style shockwave game at Toonami.com. The player would play as a Clyde 50-B unit a larger ,more efficient, weapon-wielding version of a Clyed 50. The goal of the game was rescue lost clydes, collect remains of the intruder, and avoid getting destroyed by the intruder itself. There were five levels in total each level of the game taking place chronologically after each corresponding episode.
