Life and Achievements The legend that is Tony Bailey (born January 3 , 1964) is considered by many to be the greatest and most charismatic teacher the Purbeck Maths Department has ever produced. Educated at Trinity College, Oxford, he worked all over the World, before becoming Head of Maths at Purbeck School. He recently won the award for Nicest Teacher, and the prestigious award of Most Sarcastic Teacher. (Purbeck School Yearbook 2008). He is a talented singer and songwriter, and his band, The Vavreckas, (named after the legendary Mr Vavrecka, son of a Czec footballer.) have produced songs including Southbound Train, and Real Life. Hobbies Aside from his life as a teacher and performing artist, Mr Bailey enjoys acting, football, and many other activities. The Lynx adverts were based around his personal experiences on Swanage Beach. Mr Bailey always enjoys meeting his fans, but admits that the experience can become tiresome after a while. |
