Timeline of the Sigilverse

The following timeline describes the major events that formed the setting for fictional universe, the Sigilverse. All historical events pertaining to the Sigilverse are listed here. Please note that few exact dates have been given for these events, so approximations are used instead.

The Sigilverse history is almost entirely centered around the Atlantis myth placed 100, 000 years ago from our present time (early-21st Century) with the main events seen in CrossGen's core titles taking place in the 900th Century.

Early History

*Asteroid strikes Earth wiping out Dinosaur life
*Atlantean life evolves on Earth
*Daktor creates island fortress upon the asteroid that wiped out the Dinosaurs claiming it has given him Magical powers. Builds army and begins a reign of terror.
*Daktor solder kills Tholan's wife
*Tholan creates army, sets off to find Daktor's island. He fights Daktor and kills him
*Tholan begins building Atlan

100,000 - 200, 000 years ago

*Atlan now a Kingdom
*Aristophanes rules Atlan
*Alien ship comes to Earth
*Aliens begin sampling of Earth creatures for possible enslavement
*Aliens defeated by Aristophanes and his army. Aristophanes and Thraxx caught in suspended animation within alien ship. In post-modern times the ship is located somewhere on the continent of Australia.

100, 000 years ago

*Atlanteans develop unique abilities.
*Atantis now a magnificent city.
*Five Disciplines established.
*Danik and Capricia taught by Amatus.

Atlantean Transition

10, 000 B.C.E:

*With Atlantis at the height of its civilization it is agreed that the Atlanteran race should undergo transition. While this idea is not universally accepted it is not challenged with exactly 1,142 Atlanteans opting to stay behind in stasis to awaken at a time when they can help guide the emerging human race.

*The energy backlash from transition severely damages the city of Atlantis. Atlantis sinks into the sea and the 1,142 Stasis cradles malfunction. More than two of these cradles were opened before the members of Crux were awakened 100, 000 years after the fall of Atlantis.

Post Atlantean Transition

*Transitioned Atlanteans roam the cosmos.

Modern Times

*1936, German U-boat finds Atlantean ruins and stasis pods.
*1944, Lazarus Bale found by Doctor Tannhauser and awoken form stasis under orders from Hitler.
*1963, Lazarus Bale retrieves deadly diseases from a surviving Atlantean tower.

*Atlantean ruins found in 27th century by unknown peoples and then hidden by cloaking technology.
*Sometime later Robert Charon finds Atlantis after cloaking technology fails. Begins studies on Atlantis.

Human Transition

*Nathan Appolyon brought onto Atlantean Transition project by Robert Charon.
*An accident during the tranistion project undergone by Robert Charon and Nathan Apployon causes all life on earth to be sent to the Negation Universe. Robert Charon and Nathan Appolyon are subsequently imbued with Ultra High Level Cosmic Energies while the rest of Earths inhabitants become lifeless shells.

Post Human Transition

*Energy field erected around Earth by unknown forces after transition.
*All human colonies lose contact with Earth.

*Trueblood Earthlings become extinct.

*Post-transition human society develops throughout the universe (The Planetary Union), (Kazrath System), (Chimeran Empire).

*Terra Cognito is formed sometime during this period and eventually lay claim to Earth. They build a Tachyon Supercollider in Australia. It inadvertently creates an unstable time loop in the local area.

900th Century

*3007 years ago from the day Sara Janning activated her Sigil the Chimeran Empire was established.

*Todosi receives his Sigil before the battle of Shinacea.

*Sara Janning, at a very young age, activates her Sigil on Yamivol Prime after witnessing the murder of her pet dog by Chimeran solders.

*Cassie Starkweather's grandfather dies.

*Cassie Starkweather given Sigil by Too-Too.

*Ethan Heron activates Sigil during a duel.

*Sephie activates Sigil after falling from a flying ship.

*Sam Rey activates Sigil upon the death of his friend Roiya.

*Brath Mac Garen given his Sigil by the Stag-god during a dream.

*Giselle Villard receives Sigil from mysterious man and absorbs the seven souls of the Guild Masters.

*The houses of the First come together to meet for the first time in 100,00 years to discuss the Sigil-bearers.

*Trenin kills Todosi. Obo-san absorbs Todosi's Sigil.

*Sometime during the 900th century, Danik awakens Crux members from stasis.

*Aristophanes and Thraxx awoken from status by Tug and Verityn.
*Atlanteans in stasis are awoken just in time to take on Negation forces.
*Sara Janning finds Progenitor spaceship.
