Tillman Morgan (1911 December 26, Plainview, Arkansas—2004 September 21, Eureka Springs, Arkansas) was an American innkeeper, American Navy officer ([http://en. .org/wiki/Commander_(United_States) Commander]), and well-noted entrepreneur and civic leader in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Morgan and his late wife, the former Jo Blunk, settled in Eureka Springs in 1948 and founded the historic Morgan's Court (present-day Scandia Inn), a mountaintop inn that provided its guests a breathtaking view of the Ozark mountains. During this time, he organised the Eureka Springs Naval Reserve facility where he served until 1966. Morgan and his wife later diversified their business interests into insurance and real estate. The real estate firm, Morgan Real Estate and Associates, is one of the oldest real estate firms in the state of Arkansas. Morgan was best known in the community as a "consummate professional." He served on various civic organizations that help transform Eureka Springs in a major tourism destination. Eureka Springs is a historic city founded by Dr. Alvah Jackson in 1879 as a mineral water health spa. Thousands of vacationers from Chicago to San Antonio frequented the resort. Today, it is a leading tourist destination for the central part of the United States.
