Tia Michelle Pesando

Tia Michelle Pesando, a London, Ontario resident, is the author of the book Why God Doesn't Hate You, about the LGBT community, published in 2014.
She was born intersex and lived the first 30 years of her life as male before self-identifying as female; as of 2014 she is on a hormone replacement regimen. Also as of 2014 she is trying to join the Lay Carmelites.

It is unknown whether Ms. Pesando is still actively promoting her book, but the book's home page now simply contains the cryptic message that, "I did what I did so that what happened in France in 2012 may never happen again; in France or anywhere else. Let Jesus be loved by all." The site does not explain this message, but the Facebook page devoted to the book states in a recent post that on November 15, 2012 she sent a letter to the President of France warning about the rise of well-armed Islamist rebels in Syria.
