ThrashIRC is a commercial internet relay chat client for Microsoft Windows, created in 2003 by Anthony Thrash Durbin. ThrashIRC is a full feature chat program, but it's usually described as "a fun client" because of it's unique smileys and features like personalized nick completion. History One of Anthony's friends claimed he could "bang out an IRC client in one day". Out of curiousity, Anthony began working on a client, to see how long it would take to create. A few months later, ThrashIRC 1.0 was released. ThrashIRC has been continuously improved since 2003, and the current stable version is 2.2. Main features ThrashIRC has many features that set it apart from other clients. ThrashIRC supports a rich set of emoticons, automatic updating, personalized nick completion, connecting to multiple servers, buddy list, preset color schemes and file sharing via the DCC protocol. |
