Thomas John "Loxlee" Stanford (b. 28 March 1982) is the vocalist, who is best known as the vocalist and frontman for the North American metal band Unstable and is the lead vocalist, and guitarist in his side project Damas Gong. He has been with the group since 1993, and is known for his ability to sing multiple musical styles such as combining death metal screams, with free styling, and clean singing. This style has helped distinguish Unstable vocally from many other metal acts. Stanford is best known by his stage name Loxlee, which he uses for all entertainment related projects inside and outside of music. He has been playing music since the age of 12, inspired by Kurt Cobain to play guitar. "He just made me realize it was so easy. Kurt MADE me want to play guitar." Early life Loxlee was born in Brooklyn, New York, where he lived in an apartment until he was 12. His childhood in Brooklyn saw him suspended every year at least once during grade school. At 12 his family relocated to Long Beach, New York. Upon the move he was directly told that if he did not change his ways, he would be sent to military school. Music ended up being the vice of change, and later that year, he started Unstable with the Eubanks brothers. During their years in high school, he performed with many local groups, and musicians, some of which still perform today in Long Island. In 2002, he relocated to his families home country of Trinidad, where he lived for almost three years. In this time he collaborated and recorded music with local musicians all over the area. Some of the material from these collaborations will be released in the upcoming Book of Old album. He relocated to Long Beach in 2005, and reformed Unstable with the Eubanks brothers. Outside Unstable Outside of Unstable Loxlee has performed in many side projects, and solo ventures, notably his side project 'Damas Gong'. In October 2010, during a radio perofrmance on Halftime Howie, Loxlee revealed his first solo album called The Book of Damus will be released in the Summer 2011, under UNSA Records. In 2010, he also stated on his official myspace, that he had an interest to release old material recorded in 2004, while in a sabbatical in Trinidad. At least three songs from those sessions have been confirmed for 'The Book of Damus', while the rest of the songs would be released on another album scheduled for 2011 called 'The Book of Old'.
