Theeradha Velaiyattu Pillai

Theeradha Velaiyattu Pillai ( ; ) is a forthcoming Indian Tamil film that stars Vishal and Tanushree Dutta in the lead roles. Directed by debutant Thiru and produced by Ramesh Babu under the banner of Kanagaratna Movies, who earlier produced 2007 blockbuster film Pokkiri, the film is currently in its pre-production stage and is expected to release in 2010.

Development
In February 2009, while Vishal was still shooting for his Tamil film Thoranai, directed by newcomer Iyappan, he decided to take up a his next project. Initially, he was supposed to act in next project after Aayirathil Oruvan, but unexpectedly he opted out of that project and instead signed to act in Thiru, a newcomer's flick, which eventually was titled as Theeradha Vilaiyattu Pillai. Vishal himself confirmed this news on his blog.
Casting
Since the film is said to be a romantic entertainer, Vishal and Thiru were looking out for three actresses to take on the lead female roles. Talks were going on with several actresses for these roles including Nayanthara, Tamanna Bhatia, Anushka Shetty, Trisha Krishnan, Bipasha Basu and Reema Sen, who declined the offer or have not been confirmed yet. As of now, Bollywood actress and former Miss India Universe Tanushree Dutta has been signed as one of the three leading ladies, while search is going on for the other two artists.
On the technical side, Yuvan Shankar Raja and Arvind Krishna were announced as the music director and cinematographer respectively. Other crew members are yet to be announced.
