The Vox Kashmir

The Vox Kashmir was an online e-zine run independently from Jammu and Kashmir between 2009 and 2016. The Vox Kashmir was founded in 2010. It features stories on art, culture, conflict, poetry, interviews, short fiction, society and life. The Vox Kashmir may have been the first e-zine of its kind from Jammu and Kashmir, India. It also had a section called "Daily" in which daily pieces are published.
Background
The Vox Kashmir started a blog in early 2009. For one complete year The Vox Kashmir was run as a blog and then in 2010 it was converted into a full-fledged website - an e-zine, covering global events also.
Mission
Created with the motto, "Voice of Voiceless", The Vox Kashmir mission is the global reach of the internet that plays a part in them turning to the web for highlighting conflict stories, mostly from Kashmir.<ref name=kashmirlife /> It gives a scope for peoples writings.
The magazine welcomed submissions from anyone. Students, writers, poets, photographers, artists and journalists submitted their work to The Vox Kashmir.
