The Tidal Waves Bands

There have been several bands named Tidal Wave, The Tidal Waves, The Tidalwaves, starting in the 1960s and continuing to present day.
*'The Tidal Waves' were a band from New Hampshire in the 1960s that disbanded by the end of the 60's.
*'The Tidalwaves' were a band formed in Scarborough, Maine with roots going back to the mid 1960's at the University of Maine at Orono and continuing into 2011. It was the early 1970s when the band jelled. There have been many members over the years. A recording of popular songs from the 60's and 70's was released on cassette tape by EBS Recording Studios in the late 80's. Those songs and more were released on Tsunami Records LLC early in 2012. Every 4 July from 1983 through 2009, the band played concerts at Higgins Beach, Maine. Many of the videos from those concerts and all of the Tsunami Records are available on you tube. The group has a website and a faceboook page.
*'Tidal Waves' is a band formed in Detroit Michigan in the 1960s. Recordings of "Action! (Speak Louder Than Words)" and "Farmer John" were released on the SVR and HBR labels in 1966. Band members were Bob Slap, Bill Long, Mark Karpinski, Tom Wearing and Jon Wearing.
*'The Tidal Wave Band' formed in New Jersey in the 1980s. They are still active today and have a website.
