The Raven Lounge is an independently owned and operated music venue and club in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is located in the heart of the Center City neighborhood. It is best known for its board games and “Magic Potty” where customers can be served a Pabst Blue Ribbon while using the bathroom. A variety of shows and events are hosted at Raven Lounge, including burlesque, DJ’s, a monthly live broadcast show on gashouseradio.com, Comedy and Acoustic shows and events catered to the “nerd” community that have been featured in the Huffington Post. Raven Lounge hosts “Paper, Rock, Scissors” tournaments featured on in the BBC 2 documentary “The Code.” In the past the venue has hosted casting auditions for MTV’s “The Real World, and celebrities including Dan Aykroyd, Gallagher, Bam Margera (Viva La Bam), Aries Spears (MadTV), Christian Finnegan (Dave Chappelle Show), Slipknot, Joe Frazier, and Marvis Frazier. The Raven Lounge has been ranked tenth in Philadelphia Weekly’s Top 50 Bars.
