The Power Cats is a fantasy novel written by an American child author Saanvi Kumar. It was first published on March 27, 2017, when the author was 9 years old. Plot Summary Eight determined power cats take a mysterious journey through habitats. But, their journey isn’t easy and there are many problems in their way. They want to release the power cats under control of the dark leader when they reach his habitat. But, he is a dangerous cat. Will they succeed? Detailed Plot The story begins with eight power cats, Flame, Rock, Plant, Night, Liquid, Breeze, Cloud, and Day, deciding to leave their human owners. They decide to take an adventurous journey, following the path revealed in Plant's dream. They are instructed to follow through several habitats. They begin to get used to life in their first habitat, a forest, and learn to live with each other. As they continue to march forward in the forest, they are surprised to run into other power cats. They learn that their parents were also power cats who were forced to leave their kits behind by a dark leader. They take a vow to unite power cats and defeat the dark leader. They continue through their journey to find other power cats and convince them to join in their quest. They get pleasant surprises in their journey but they also encounter several hurdles.
