The Music Network Established in 1994, The Music Network is an industry based magazine and Australia’s weekly source for music industry news and information, and has been for 15 years. The Music Network reports on information such as radio airplay charts and statistics, as well as their own music chart, the TMN Hot 100 Chart, which is based on a combination of radio play and physical and digital sales. As an industry magazine, it is importantly independent, and acts as a tip sheet for radio and record companies to gauge the potential airplay and sales of upcoming music releases. The Music Network was acquired by Peer Group Media in 2009. Peer Group Media also own the iconic Sydney based street press, The Brag Magazine. In 2009, The Music Network also underwent a period of change, relaunching the magazine with a new, modern look and focusing more on in depth coverage of the industry at large, rather than being just a broadsheet for airplay and chart statistics. In line with this relaunch, The Music Network will be launching a new website in 2010. The current editor of The Music Network is Jade Harley. The Music Network website
