The Last Man Standing, is a YouTube series created by the Youtube director, Eightmilesintexas, or Joe Byrne, as part of his small film company, Downturn Films. Synthosis Episode 1: The Exchange Luke Freeman, Secret Agent is sent to assisinate Lance Staten, Mafia associate. Freeman goes about this by wiring the area with bombs, before begining the serach. Whilst looking for him however, Staten finds him first, and attacks him. Freeman breaks free and the pair duel in a shoot em Out style. Staten godes Freeman, not believing him to be a murderer, however is proved wrong when Freeman shoots him. Leaving the area, Freeman realizes the bombs are about to go off. Making a run for it, he narrowly escapes. Freeman than goes back to his house, where his drink is drugged. Waking up in the Mafia base, he is attacked by Mafia leader Bruce Carlson, and Jonny White he is forced into agreeing to play a Poker game, with all the Mafias money at risk, or else. Episode 2: Bankrupt Arriving at the game, Freeman plays Poker Anderson with all the Mafias money at stake. Freeman wins and leaves happy. However Staten intercepts his escape, capturing him and forcing him to take him to his home. There he meets with White, but while they count the money, Freeman attempts escape. In the battle that ensues, Freeman takes Statens gun, and shoots the pair, White in the stomach, and Staten in the head and takes the money. However once again Staten recovers, his gun having contained blacks. Meeting up with Carlson, he is threatened with his life, but through begging, gains one more chance to kill Freeman. Episode 3: Cold Reception An agent is sent on behalf of the agency to get Freeman back, having refused to go back, considering leaving. The pair meet, and Freeman is persuaded to continue his battle with the Mafia. and the agent becomes Freemans partner. Maenwhile, Staten and White meet again, having been given a tip-off that Freeman is going to show up at the Mafia's base today. Staten is eager to kill Freeman, but is being provided back up, White and a Mark Gourain. Freeman arrives and Mark Gourain is revealed to be not only the source, but looks new partner. The 3 attack Freeman, however he manages to get free and in the fight defeats Gourain and Staten, but White escaoes with the money. Episode 4: When the Deal Goes Down Angry at his multiple failures, Statne resolves to go after Freeman himself, to prevent his inevitable death by the Mafia. Freeman however escapes the gun attack, and comes back to fight Staten, tossing him into a pool. This time there is no escape, and Staten dies a slow death. 6 months later, Carlsons agent, Palarama brings Freeman to Carlson, Freeman agrees to join the Mafia, now they have spent the money on a new base and project. Carlson agree's, he also finds out that Staten has a twin brother, but arranges for him to be beaten up. Carlson and Freeman meet on a becah, but it is here a sniper kills White. Episode 5: The Man with one Black Shoe Freeman finds Statens brother and the pair team up, Freeman confirms he only joined the Mafia so he could detroy them. They locating White, the plot becomes apparent. He killed Carlson so that he could become leader of the Mafia, and put into effect the project they have been planning for so long with the money won in the poker game. They have bought explosives, and intend to rob, and blow up Picadilly. Epsiode 6: The Brittish Empire Freeman and Staten locate Gourain, who is checking valuable Mafia documents at their old base, they follow him at the base, Freeman attacks him. At Statens request he desists, and is about to interogate him when Gourain gets up and prepares for another fight. Staten shows off some of his brothers traits by shooting him and killing him. Freeman explains the whole story and using the computers locate the new base to be Freemans home, the perfect hiding place. Freeman arrives there to find it deserted. Freeman is casual, but Staten is worried, and soon the White shows up, accomponied by tow new agents, Vito Corlando and Danny Slan entering through the window and meeting hostile Freeman and Staten confirms them as enemies and a final battle breaks out. Staten tries and fails to strangle Slan, but Freeman shoots him and kills him. Seeing this Corlando charges into to avenge his death, only to be shot by Staten. Seeing his men killed in front of him, White shoots Staten at point blanck range in the head, and unlike his brother, doesn't recover. Freeman disarms White and finds the detonator, with less than a minute to go. In frutration, he slams the detonator against the table, and deactivates it. Gloating, he kills White, mourns the loss of Staten, and leaves.
