The Last Journey of the Magna Carta King was a British television programme presented by Dr Ben Robinson and Stephen Church, Professor of Medieval History at University of East Anglia that aired on BBC One in 2015.

The Last Journey of the Magna Carta King was a British television programme presented by Dr Ben Robinson, of Historic England and Professor Stephen Church that aired on BBC One on Monday 16 February 2015. The programme was part of the BBC Taking Liberties season which was created to mark the 800th anniversary of the Magna Carta and developed in conjunction with the British Library and the Magna Carta 800th Anniversary Commemoration Committee.
The programme retraces the final days of King John to discover the real story behind his death. They use Lidar and King John's own documents and letters to show dispel stories surrounding his reign. They also show the story of the treasure hunters trying to discover King John's lost treasure.
The programme was aired again on BBC Four on the 9 February 2015, when a complaint was made to BBC Audience Services stating that Dr Ben Robinsons comment "it’s menacing behaviour, and not only that, John upset the wealthy demanding money with a new 13th century mansion tax; the rebels hoped to curb that" was suggestive of bias against the Labour party in relation to Mansion Tax, and they disagreed with the comment stating "the concept of opinion in 13th century England is laughable, only the king and his nobility and the church had opinions, that’s why it was feudal".
