The joe mangle angle

When a person who is not famous looks like a famous person or 'celebrity' but only from a certain angle, this angle is called "The Joe Mangle Angle ". The name derives from an instance when its creators (Fiona McDonald & David Owens) were waiting in a petrol station. A man looked at them whilst blowing air into his tyres and they noted that he looked like Joe Mangle (a character from the popular Australian Soap 'Neighbours' played by Mark Little). When he moved around the car though it became obvious that he looked nothing like Mr Mangle. From then on the angle at which a person looks like a celebrity when they dont do so from other angles was known as the 'Joe Mangle Angle'<ref name="jma"/> <references/> |
