The iProfile is an online CV template which was created in 2001 to allow jobseekers to manage and store their CVs online in a standard format. Once an iProfile has been published, its owner can send it to relevant recruiters and employers, without being vulnerable to many of the dangers associated with online identity theft.
iProfile also aims to provide career advice to job seekers. In May 2008, the company commissioned Research Now to conduct a study into what employers were looking for in their job candidates' CVs. Based on interviews with 1,000 job seekers and 200 employers, the research showed that an up-to-date and relevant list of work-based achievements was one of the most important factors in their recruitment decisions.
