The Great Adversary by Hermes Varini (2007)(ISBN978-3-89781-112-6) is a Viking saga published in English in a very limited number of copies by a German Academic Publisher. Set between X Century England and Scandinavia, the saga covers the literary theme of the doppelgänger from an outstanding heroic and initiatory perspective. Based on a legend belonging to the Teutonic Order, the work has all the completeness and oneness of plot required in a tale with all the detail and accuracy required in a scientific lecture.
