The Golden Bengal Tea

The Golden Bengal Tea () is a tea originated in Sylhet district of Bangladesh. It is a Black tea variety that has the golden presence when in a transparent cup. Because of its golden coating, literally its named as The Golden Bengal Tea. Where each leaf contains a 24 carat gold coating. Per kilogram tea costs for 16 crore Taka in Bangladeshi currency. That is the most expensive tea in the world.
Cultivation
The Golden Bengal Tea takes about 4 and a half years to be produced. 900 kg of tea is required just to collect 1 kg of tea leaves. London Tea Exchange, a historical tea house is the producer of the tea.
