The Firestone Direct Sugar Shack debuted on TV3 in New Zealand at 9:30pm on 25 May 2006 and continues in that timeslot. This show is from the same production team which was responsible for the long running Hyundai Sports Cafe. As well as Ric Salizzo, the former host of Sports Cafe, the show also features actor Katrina Browne, comedian/actor David Fane, comedian Peter Vegas and broadcaster Noelle McCarthy. The show is a 1 hour lifestyle programme which features a comedic look at current events and features interviews with various celebrities in front of a live studio audience. The show has a similar format to SportsCafe. The set for the show is designed to look like the inside of a caravan (which reflects the introductory credits which shows a caravan being towed into a holiday park). The opening theme is Ride On by Breakfast of Champions. |
