The FCC Song is an elaborate satirical musical number from the PTV episode of the animated television series Family Guy. Its content was intentionally provocative, by the standards of the FCC, for the effect of provoking thought about censorship in the United States. The song's message earned the PTV episode an Emmy nomination. Content The FCC Song used several different methods to convey its message. One such method was pointing out the euphemisms required by the FCC when speaking about topics such as sexual intercourse and genitalia. Examples: * Piss -> "Tinkle" * Fellatio -> "Trouser-friendly kiss" * Penis -> "Ding-a-ling" Another way in which the song made its point was by making direct remarks about the FCC. Examples: * "There's no negotiation with the fellas at the freakin' FCC." * "They're as stuffy as the stuffiest of special interest groups." * "Make a joke about your bowels and they order in the troops." * "They may just be neurotic, or possibly psychotic,..." Also, the song showed explicit video clips which would typically be censored from the American airwaves. Many of these clips came from previous episodes of Family Guy, and some only had an implied sexual connotation because they were deliberately taken out of context. Examples: * Stewie, dressed in leather bondage gear, spanking Brian, who is tied up and ball-gagged * Peter, in a skimpy pink bikini, flashing his boobs on Howard Stern’s radio show * Peter, with his pants down and standing on a stool, farting while Stewie holds up a lit match * Peter, naked, on a date with a blow-up doll * Justin Timberlake removing Peter's nipple covering in a parody of the Janet Jackson incident * Peter sucking on a popsicle, simulating oral sex * Peter, Brian, and Stewie having a pillow fight in nightgowns * Brian, wearing a miner’s cap, putting on rubber gloves, about to give Peter a cavity search * Peter choking Lois with a watermelon slice * Amanda Rebecca, the woman from the marriage counseling videos, ripping off her blouse * Peter hurriedly covering up his genitals with a pillow as a door is opened * Stewie admiring himself wearing lipstick * Dave Campbell, naked, bending over to feel the lawn * Stewie caressing a Miss Piggy doll * Peter, naked, making pelvic thrusts at his daughter Meg * Stewie giving a public speech and realizing he's naked * Peter licking one of his own boobs * Quagmire getting his erect penis slammed in a window * Lois wearing a leather S&M outfit * Stewie sucking on Peter’s nipple * Peter, without pants, passing out on the laps of Meg and her teenage friends * Jeff Campbell, naked, squirting a super-soaker covering his penis * Peter making orange juice using his nipple * Brian and Stewie appearing as horned half-man/half-beast animals, considered satanic by the Christian religion.
