The Duke Fightmaster Show

The Duke Fightmaster Show is an Orange County web television show that features professional stand-up comedy from LA and local musicians and entrepreneurs. The Duke Fightmaster Show is the creative endeavor of Duke Fightmaster, who quit his job in the mortgage business to pursue dreams of working in entertainment. After initially filming in the bedroom of his Laguna Beach home, Fightmaster had to move to a bigger venue to accommodate his fanatic audience, who call themselves “Fightmasters.”
The show first hit the Internet on YouTube and took in 150,000+ views within the first several months. It has since moved on to its own website, DukeFightmaster.com. Because of its strong local following, The Duke Fightmaster Show acquired local sponsorship from Lost Clothing and the Laguna Beach clothing boutique, Stella.
Layout
The show begins with a monologue, followed by one to two interview guests, and ends with a musical guest. The show takes two breaks during which the set musicians, Wet Dream, perform.
The talk show is filmed before a live audience, who is encouraged to participate in the show in the form of asking questions of the interview guest and coming up with list items during the monologue’s “Twenty to Eleven,” a send up of David Letterman’s Top Ten lists.
From time to time, The Duke Fightmaster Show will bring audience members up for games. Past games have included The Price is Right, The Dating Game, and Which One is the Girl, in which a blindfolded woman kisses three other people (two men and one woman) and guesses which one is the girl.
