The Dragon Rider is a forthcoming novel written by Amos Sauder. It will be published in December 2008 by Blurb.com.
Amos Sauder says that, "As an author, it was hard for me to come up with the perfect story to start my writing profession. I had been inspired by a few books before starting to write, and Dragon Rider was a book that I just couldn't not write."
The book, according to Sauder, is partly inspired by the books Lost Moon by Jim Lovell and Eragon by Christopher Paolini.

Summary (From the Back Cover)
When David Taylor finds a blue stone in his backyard, he thinks it is just an ordinary rock. But that was before it brought about a terrorist, three space flights, a dragon, and…
A dragon?
The dragon’s name is Lacifer, and he made the stone—called the Stone of Kuldathor—on Mars thousands of years ago. The terrorist is an Iranian named Resulbic Susikiani, who wants the Stone of Kuldathor for himself.
Almost overnight, David’s world is turned upside-down. He finds himself caught up in the middle of a war—one that will take him from the Rocky Mountains of Colorado to the Fra Mauro mountain ranges of the Moon. And beyond.
Packed with action, adventure, and a story about believing in yourself, The Dragon Rider kicks off Amos Sauder's writing career with flying colors. So prepare to go on an adventure of a lifetime, as you join David and go soaring on dragon’s wings.
