The Crestoran Odyssey: Heroes Inception

The Crestoran Odyssey: Heroes Inception is a fantasy book set in a make belief world called Crestora. The books explores political tension between people and nations. This causes conflict which the main protagonists have to try overcome. The book was written by South African author, Caydyn Lendrum in 2024. The book is part of a trilogy series named The Crestoran Odyssey.
Plot
The story begins at the start of a political crisis in the Crestoran nation of Mangrovia. This crisis is part of a larger plot which spills into a world-wide conflict known as the War of Dignity. The three main protagonists Anne, Cora, and Erebus have the task to restore Crestora to a land of peace and tranquility, however the magical underbelly of this world presents causes setbacks and makes their jobs a lot more dangerous.
Devolpment
The story of which the book is based goes back to June 2022. Caydyn Lendrum and a couple of his friends played a Minecraft server and decided to engage in fantasy roleplay. Much of the character names were created in this time, names such as Mangrovia and Erebus (Erebus of course being not an original name just used in the story). The server ended after one month and this was when Caydyn decided to continue the story. It was adapted into a screenplay for an episodic anitmated series called the Chronicles of Nyx, however this was cancelled in February 2024. It was then readapted into a book from February that same year, being published in May
