The Crap Old Days is a book written by Wayne Williams & Darren Allan.
It's a humorous A-Z which looks back to the seventies and eighties, taking the view that nostalgia most definitely isn't what it used to be, and that the depressing contemporary world makes us recall many old TV programmes, pop bands, toys, fashion and food with an irrationally unfettered optimism. The truth is, according to the book, that much of the past was crap.
Some of the entries include Mr Blobby, Cabbage Patch Kids, Sodastream, New Romantics, Shake 'n' Vac and Yuppies.
The book is due to be published by Carlton Books on 6th October 2008.
