The COMPASS Experiment is an alternative rock band based in Calstock, Ontario. Although not well-known outside of their hometown, the band has grown to local fame because of their friendly rivalry with competing band Red-Chested Flufftail. They suffered a great loss when frontman Malcolm Burke's younger brother, Tim Burke, was killed in a fatal car accident in January 2008; overwhelming support from fans eventually convinced them to continue producing music.
