The Chronicles of Rick Roll is an upcoming comedy film featuring top YouTube and Internet memes. The film is produced by Andrew Fischer, of NURV, and will star several popular internet celebrities including Antoine Dodson, Paul Vasquez, Ben Schulz, Brian Collins, Gary Brolsma, Jack and Stephen Quire, Ted Williams, and Aaron Yonda & Matt Sloan. According to a Business Insider interview, Fischer of NURV assured that "the movie is not a prank". A teaser trailer was released on February 16, 2011. A second, longer teaser trailer was released on February 22, 2011. On March 7, 2011 a third trailer was released. According to CNN, these trailers are made up of concept footage shot in hopes of securing studio backing for a major motion picture. At this point in time the movie itself is still in development mode. Not much is known about the story aside from what can be learned from the concept trailers and log line. "An insecure man must lead a band of misfits through the dangerous world of the Internet to save the woman he loves from his own creation." The film has attracted a significant amount of press for a film in such an early development phase.
