The Camerons

The Camerons (also known as Maggie & Gillon) is a British drama series created by Peter Moffatt and starring Morag Hood, Malcolm Ingram, Graham Crowden, Iain Lauchlan, Gerard Kelly, Ewan Stewart, Joseph McKenna, James Morrison, Sharon Erskine and Lesley Fitz-Simons, and also featured Jay Smith, Roddy McMillan, Frank Wylie, Alec Heggie, Irene Sunters and Jack Watson. The series ran for seven seasons between 1979 and 1986. Although the series ran for seven series' some characters were forced to leave before the series ended. These characters consist of Rob Cameron, who departed in 1983 - series 4 - after actor Iain Lauchlan decided to end his contract; Emily Cameron, who departed in 1985 - series six - after actress Lesley Fitz-Simons began suffering from Parkinson's disease; and Walter Bone, who departed in 1979 - series 1 - after actor Roddy McMillan died suddenly of a fatal heart attack.
