The Boyfriend List is a book written by E. Lockhart. Ruby Oliver is 15 and The Boyfriend list's chapters are named after all the boy's she's ever had a crush on, a total of 15 boys. This is after she has been taken to a psychiatrist by her parents as she has been having a very hard time at school. She's lost her boyfriend, her best friend, and all of the rest of her friends. After suffering from a few panic attacks, Ruby's parents decide to take her to Dr. Z. Their visits prompt Ruby to compile a boyfriend list, and then the first draft gets into the wrong hands.
