Blank-Fest and Other Benefits
Starting in 1997, The Baghdaddios have helped organize, MC’d and performed at Blank-Fest, an annual benefit concert which raises blankets and public awareness for New York City’s homeless, which was founded that year by Baghdaddios’ front man, Kenn Rowell. Founded and based out of Rowell’s birthplace and former hometown of Nyack, NY, the benefit has estimated total donations over it’s lifetime of over 5,800, most of which are blankets and are primarily given to the homeless, starting on Christmas Eve and throughout the Winter months. In recent years the Benefit has expanded to several cities in 3 countries (U.S., Canada, UK) .
