The Adventurer () is an Egyptian film released in 1948. It is directed by Hassan Reda, features a screenplay by Mahmoud el-Meliguy and Ali El Zorkani, and stars el-Meliguy, Alwiya Gamil, and Samia Gamal. This film marks Reda’s directorial debut. Synopsis A young man grows up soiled and reckless, leaning toward a path of crime to become a gang leader. A new girlfriend persuades him to turn over a new leaf and abandon his life of crime. Despite their menacing pressure to keep him involved, he uses her encouragement to break away. After many close shaves in which the gang almost brings him back onboard, he finally agrees to participate in a police sting operation to expose and apprehend the criminals. The police consider him a friendly witness, and he escapes with full immunity to start his life over right.
