Thakur Sitaramdas Omkarnath

Sri Sri Sitaramdas Omkarnathdev is a Saint from Bengal, India. He preached the glory of Nam Kirtan , promoted the dictums of Santanan Dharma, initiated numerous disciples all across India and even from abroad, and was revered by contemporary saints.
Brief life history:
Birth Place : Keota Village ( Maternal Uncle’s residence ), Hooghly district, West Bengal
Birth Information: 6th Falgun, 1298 (English1892), Krishna Panchami Tithi, Wednesday, at 8:01 am
Parents: Sri Pranhari Chatopadhyay (Father) & Smt.Mallabati Devi (Mother)
Ancestral village : Dumurdaha Dham, Hooghly district, West Bengal.
Guru : Sri Dasarathidev Yogeswar of Digsui Village.
Marriage : With Siddheswari Devi ( renamed ‘Kamala - Ma’ )
Divine instruction & Nam-pracharleela : Vision of Lord Jagannath at Puri, and the Divine Command to spread the Holy Name. This incident was followed by wide-spread preaching of Naam-Sankirtan.
As Guru : Omkarnathdev gave spiritual initiation to millions of devotees, founded more than 75 ashrams, wrote more than 200 spiritual books.

Swami Chidananda, President, Divine Life Society, Rishikesh, declared him a “Naam Avatar” and said- “Beloved Babaji is verily Naam Avatara. His entire life and personality is a radiant example and expression of Naam Bhakti and Naam Shakti."
Sitaramdas Omkarnath founded the religious group 'Akhil Bharat Jaiguru Sampraday', which identifies itself with the 'Shri Sampraday'. The headquarters of 'Jaiguru Sampraday' is Mahamilan Math at Kolkata, India.
