Texture Packs

Texture packs actually are a type of option that you can use on the sandbox game, Minecraft. A texture pack is just a type of way that something is pictured. It can be the default view of Minecraft, but it also may be a texture pack.This is a picture of a before/after texture pack download. You download them anywhere, but the most recommended is Painterly Pack, where you design your own Texture Pack. You can have them customized to your liking- icy, flowery, Halloween style, or Christmas style! Each item is personalized!A texture pack is a collection of files that is used to change the textures of blocks, items, mobs and the GUI. They are .zip files that have various images in them and a pack.txt. The default resolution for packs is 16×16 (measured pixels in block height and width). But to create one, you need to have a archiving or decompression program, such WinRAR or 7-Zip. You can ALWAYS take out texture packs by opening the texture packs folder, by going on Minecraft, or going to "%appdata%\.minecraft\texturepacks" on "Run." File:2011-07-05 20.36.03. Search up: "Minecraft Texture Packs" on Google or on a search browser, and find something interesting and that fits your personality! Many different texture packs are available- over 10 billion different texture pack varieties are possible!
Installing a Texture Pack
To install a texture pack, the file must first be in a ZIP format. Place the ZIP file in:
Windows XP/Vista/7: %AppData%\.minecraft\texturepacks
Linux: ~/.minecraft/texturepacks
Mac OS X: ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/texturepacks
Then, you can play with Texture Packs, and different view of minecraft!
