Tevfik Arif

Tevfik Arif is a Kazakhstan-born New York City based property developer and founder of the real estate development company Bayrock Group and was a former Soviet Union official working for the Soviet Ministry of Commerce and Trade and who, in 2006, partnered with billionaire businessman (and 2016 Republican Party presidential candidate) Donald Trump to develop various New York City properties, including the hotel condominium complex Trump SoHo. In 2010, Arif was arrested in Turkey for allegedly running a prostitution ring aboard his yacht, charges that he denied, and were acquitted of in 2011.
