TESCAN, s.r.o. is a privately-owned Czech company manufacturing Scanning Electron Microscopes (SEM), Focused Ion Beam (FIB) systems, SEM/FIB specialized instruments and SEM/FIB laboratory equipment. History of Success TESCAN was established by a group of experienced R&D workers from the former state company TESLA Brno in the summer of 1991 and has rapidly grown to become a top tier supplier of scanning electron microscopes worldwide. TESCAN's first products were supplementary accessories for Scanning Electron Microscopes: Image Processors, Special Chambers, Detecting Systems, etc. Consequently TESCAN extended its activity in the field of Image Processing to light optical microscopy and special applications. Tescan also successfully completed several custom projects for the development and prototype manufacturing of electronic circuits and software in the field of medical instruments and space research. TESCAN was awarded (recognised) as an innovative company of the year in the Czech Republic in the year 1994. TESCAN succeeded in several research projects granted by the European Community or Czech government (Copernicus, Technos, etc.). Tescan Products TESCAN's current product line includes: * VEGA II Family of Conventional and Variable Pressure SEMs * MIRA II Family of high resolution Schottky Field emission scanning electron microscopes. * LYRA I Family of combined SEM and FIB columns attached onto one chamber. * SEM Detectors and Accessories - first class YAG based detectors are standard * Image processing software - Atlas * Special Custom Systems
