Terrier Nation

Terrier Nation is a sports television show on butv10 that covers all Boston University Sports. Terrier Nation covers varsity sports such as Men's Ice Hockey as well as club sports like Women's Water Polo and even intramurals. The show has been running on butv10 since 2005. The show was created by Chris Miller, Brian Maurer and Krysta Peplowski. Current Executive Producers are Jackie Ward and James Goodenough Heuser. The name Terrier Nation is a reference to the Boston University Sports Mascot -- the Terrier. Terrier Nation has covered events such as the Beanpot, the America East Men's/Women's Basketball Tournament and the Hockey East Tournament. Terrier Nation has recently aired its 20th episode on butv10. Streaming video content of the show can be found on the website. The show is linked to the America East website as well.

Segments
Terrier Nation has many segments that run during the 30 minute program. They vary from 2 to 5 minutes.
DogWalk
DogWalk is a "man on the street" style interview with students and faculty of Boston University. The segment seeks to find out what BU students know about their Terriers and what they might not know. The segment frequently has holiday based episodes such as Valentine's Day and Halloween. Terrier Nation student reporter Mike Sullivan is the face of DogWalk. Student producer Kelly Knight created this segment. It is the longest running segment on Terrier Nation.

Dog House
Dog House is a new segment in 2008 on Terrier Nation. The segment is similar to MTV's Cribs except it is exclusively focused on Boston University Athletes. The show has highlighted Boston University basketball stars such as Corey Lowe and Christine Kinneary. Top Dog

Top Dog is a segment in which Terrier Nation highlights one of it's finest athletes. The segment has covered athletes such as Chris Higgins of the BU Men's Varsity Ice Hockey Team as well Peter Mayers of the Club Men's Rugby team. A segment on Jan Bicanic of the BU Men's Track and Field team was featured on Boston.com. Student reporter Chris Talanian is the face of Top Dog.

Learning Curve

Learning Curve is a segment in which one of the reporters from Terrier Nation gives a sport at BU a try. Most notably, student reporter Scott Spiegel tried out ice skating with the Boston University Women's Ice Skating team. The segment has also covered Fencing and Softball.

Minute With The Media

In this segment, Terrier Nation seeks out other media associated with Boston University to gather further insight on BU Sports. The show has highlighted reporters and columnists from WTBU Radio, The Daily Free Press and The Boston Globe. Media Correspondent for Terrier Nation, David Riggs, seeks out and connects Terrier Nation to these other medias.

Anchors

Brian Maurer -- Brian was one of the first anchors for Terrier Nation and is also a co-creator.

Krysta Peplowski -- Krysta was also one of the first anchors for Terrier Nation and is also a co-creator.

Jackie Ward -- Jackie is one of the current anchors for Terrier Nation. She began in the fall of 2007.

Alex Gershen -- Alex is one of the current anchors for Terrier Nation. He began in the fall of 2007.
