Teneniel Djo

Teneniel Djo is a fictional character in the Star Wars'
Expanded Universe.

Biography
Teneniel Djo is granddaughter of the Singing Mountain Clan leader Augwynne Djo and daughter of Allaya Djo.

She is introduced in the novel The Courtship of Princess Leia, where she meets Luke Skywalker and Prince Isolder, who are looking for the stranded Han Solo and Leia Organa. Amazed that Luke could use the Force, she demands they marry. After run-ins with Zsinj and the Nightsisters, however, she falls in love with Isolder and marries him, and in turn eventually becomes the Queen Mother of Hapes. Together they have one child, Tenel Ka.

In the New Jedi Order novel Agents of Chaos II: Jedi Eclipse, Leia Organa goes to Teneniel to gain the support of their Navy in a battle against the invading Yuuzhan Vong on the planet . Shortly into the battle, the Centerpoint Station is improperly manned and fired. The shot kills two thirds of the Hapan Fleet along with half of the Yuuzhan Vong fleet assembled at Fondor. The blast from the explosion causes Teneniel to miscarry her unborn child, and she goes into a deep depression.

In the novel Dark Journey, the former Queen Mother of Hapes, Ta'a Chume wants a more youthful and vigorous leader, and plots to kill Teneniel and replace her with Princess Leia's daughter, Jaina Solo. After Jaina comes to grips with the dark side, she realizes Chume's plan. Midway through the novel, she rushes to Teneniel, only to find her already fatally poisoned. After Teneniel's death, Tenel Ka puts her personal wishes to stay out of politics aside and accepts her birthright. She uses the Hapan fleet that her mother had rebuilt and scores her first victory against the approaching Yuuzhan Vong.
