Teeboy Kamara is an Australian footballer who plays in the centre forward position. He is in the Australian Institute of Sport and has been selected to represent Australia in the 2011 FIFA under 17 World Cup. Early Life Kamara was born in Liberia during a dark era in that countries history. He has no memory of his early life in war-torn West Africa. Before his birth, Kamara's father was seized by Liberian rebels and was never found. His early life was very hard spending a large portion of his childhood in a refugee camp in neighbouring Guinea. After spending several years in a refugee camp, Kamara's family were allowed to settle in Australia, so during 2003 (aged 8) Kamara arrived in Adelaide with his mother, brother Victor and sister Doris. Kamara attended Blackfriars Priory School. He was considered the best football player at Blackfriars after helping them become state champions during 2010. Kamara was also playing for their First 11 side while only aged 13. He played club football for FFSA side Salisbury United while aged 14. AIS Kamara starred for the South Australian Sports Institute at a national tournament featuring Australia's best juniors. During that tournament, the finished as top scorer scoring seven goals in five games. His performances prompted an invitation to the AIS and later on moved to Canberra. 2011 FIFA U-17 World Cup Kamara was part of a handful of players selected to represent Australia in the 2011 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Mexico in July 2011.
