Teddy Bear Ghost

Joshua Jacobs (born April 1, 1991), known by his stage name Teddy Bear Ghost, is an American Disco House producer, and DJ from North Star, Delaware currently signed to Vingas Records.
Teddy Bear Ghost is most recognized for his Chopping, or Sampling technique, and his driving retro Disco rhythms. With a background in Music Composition, Teddy Bear Ghost uses a method of recording, and sampling his own previously written composed music, and applies the samples to original drum tracks, using an array of Sequencers, Synthesizers, and computer software. He gained popularity, and his subsequent recording contract with Vingas Records following the release of his remix to the Bee Gees smash hit 'Stayin Alive' on Bandcamp for free. The disco-funk inspired remix was shared around Social Media networks Facebook, and Twitter, and eventually made it's way to the ears of Vincenzo Facino, President of Vingas Records in Spain. Vincenzo immediately wanted to sign Teddy Bear Ghost to his label, and immediately following the signing, Vingas Records announced the scheduled release of Teddy Bear Ghost's first single "Sunset Beach" to Beatport, and iTunes.
Teddy Bear Ghost is apart of the Nu Disco wave which is a name given to the resurgence of the widely popular Disco sound from the mid-late 70's, happening now in electronic music. Other Electronic musicians creating this sound include Chromeo, Breakbot, Daft Punk, and Madeon.
